Thanks to CT-Scans, the Earlham Mummy Comes to Life | Earlham College

Read the article on the Earlham homepage about our recent CT-Scan of Ta’an, the Joseph Moore Museum mummy: Thanks to CT-Scans, the Earlham Mummy Comes to Life | Earlham College.

Ta’an was taken to Reid Memorial Hospital to be CT scanned in December. The scan was used to construct a 3-D image of the mummy and will give the museum valuable clues about Ta’an’s body and life. From x-rays done in the past the museum knew that Ta’an was about 20 years old when she died, but we are hoping information from the CT Scan might give us clues about how she died.
