The Joseph Moore Museum has a new monthly program! We are now offering Music in the Museum on the last Sunday afternoon of each month. We invite acoustic musicians from the campus and community to sign up with the museum to perform during Music in the Museum. The museum is open normal hours on these special event Sundays (1-5 pm) and folks are welcome to visit anytime during open hours. The musicians play down by the mastodon, and the music creates a lovely atmosphere for a leisurely stroll through the museum.
The first Music in the Museum Sunday took place January 29, filling the museum with the sounds of flute, tin whistle, clarinet, and guitar. Student musicians took turns playing for an hour each. We heard from Emily McGrew ’15, Asa Duffee ’13, Chris Angell ’15, and Kyle Stocksdale (Richmond High School).
Join us next month on Sunday February 26th for the next Music in the Museum. E-mail Carol or Heather (find their e-mail addresses on our website: earl ham.edu/joseph-moore-museum) if you are interested in performing, all acoustic music is welcome!
